What a week-
I want to thank all the nice people for the great reviews and the positive support they gave the zero issue of AMALA'S BLADE, I didn't expect this kind of response! You guys really made my week and I look forward to you all reading the mini-series starting in April. We have a lot going on it from Mechanical glowing beasts to Steam-punked cities!

Along with the release of the zero issue we gave two Glow-in-the-Dark posters of Amala in our random give away at our Facebook page. The winners were Owen Watts and Eleni Mosh! Keep Amala's ghostly friends by your bed as a night light :) I was really happy with how that turned out and we plan to do more give-aways before issue 1 is out.

Also did you also know that my mate Josh Tierney's SPERA vol.2 was released on the same day, that also involves high fantasy and young ladies with swords! you should read it! its packed to the brim with talent. I have a short story in this volume and a bigger one in the upcoming volume 3!

Hope you all have a great week.
Mike!

The zero issue of AMALA'S BLADE is out this month and as a way to thank you all, we are giving away two (2) of the last limited edition Glow-in-the-Dark posters!
If you want the chance to win one all you have to do is Like the Amala's Blade page and the Pirate Ghost Monkey will pick two names from the list on the 27th of February!

This poster was made last April when the story "Skull and Crossbows" was released in Dark Horse Presents and is printed by silkscreen master :icontind:!

Josh Tierney, Creator of SPERA just posted.

By the way, **The first two people to send me photos of themselves at the artist table with the autograph card will win a signed copy of Vol. II whenever I get the books in!**. Just send the photo to josh.will.tierney@gmail.com.
I can't afford to go this year, unfortunately, but I hope everyone stops by to meet Mike, Polly and Roxie, all awesome people & artists who have been involved with Spera pretty much since the beginning.
Mike was part of the original collaboration, illustrated Fetch Quest (which appears in Vol. II), and has a major role in an upcoming Spera project. Polly Guo created this pin-up and illustrated Adel's Hammer, which was first a black & white comic for TCAF and will now be in full colour for Vol. II. Roxie created this pin-up, which appears in Vol. II as well.
Archaia will also be selling copies of Spera: Volume I, so be sure to check it out if you haven't already!

Hey all! Hope you are well.

Recently i had the bad luck of having the Graphic Card on my Mac burn out on me and i am in need of raising some funds to buy a new one. Thank the Gods for a good friend who lent me one the time being.

Thats why i am doing a open call for anyone who would like a 20$ character commission. (shipping included)
Each commission will be drawn on an A4 size heavy stock paper. You can see in my Gallery, MODOK from Marvel that i did as an example. (Which is also up for sale to whoever wants it!) [link]

So if you are interested and want me to draw your favourite character for you, then all you have to do is send me an email at michaeldialynas@gmail.com and let me know what you would like!

Plus my comics and prints are still available at my store.
[link]

Thank you very much in advance :)

UPDATE:
Nearly 50% has been raised! I want to say a Big Thank you to all those who commissioned me and bought stuff from my store!

You've been a big help.
I will post new commissions as i draw them, for now MODOK is still available!

NEW UPDATE:
I LOVE YOU GUYS!

In less than 24 hours, the kind people of the internets made buying a new Graphic Card for my mac possible!
I am overwhelmed by the response of everyone who sent me an email yesterday asking for a commission.

Godzilla is a favorite these days by the looks of it! :P

Over the next month or so i will be posting photos of the commissions as they roll out!

Thank you ALL as i would never have achieved this without your support.

Mike.

DARK HORSE PRESENTS: AMALA'S BLADE IN FEBRUARY 2012!
Looks like the project i've been working on the last months has finally been announced!
here you have AMALA'S BLADE, with words by Steve Horton & art by me!

Cant wait for you all to this comic full of Steam-punk assassins and Cyborg-pirates!

Dark Horse Comics is proud to announce a brand new three-part story from Steve Horton (DC Holiday Special, Superman 80-Page Giant) and Michael Dialynas (Popgun, Trinkets) appearing in Dark Horse Presents #9 – Amala's Blade.

Amala was once chosen as a child to be the spiritual leader for her country, to unite the Purifiers and Modifiers and prevent war. She fled into the night. Twenty years of war later, she makes a living as an assassin, but her past is ever ready to catch up to her. Aboard a massive pirate ship, Amala stalks the fearsome pirate captain Cha'Kooh ... but the voices in her head, manifesting as ghosts, keep getting in the way!

Amala's Blade will be featured in issues #9, #10 & #11 of Dark Horse Presents.

"Amala's Blade is the steam punk-with-swords epic that I've been dying to tell," says Steve Horton, writer and letterer. "Thanks to the extraordinary and talented artist Michael Dialynas, we've brought Amala to life. Thanks to Dark Horse Comics, we've found an amazing and supportive publisher for our three-issue run in Dark Horse Presents. This story has heart, sword fighting, sarcasm, revenge, pirates, technologically modified villains, a girl steam punk heroine, and a robotic pirate monkey. What more do you need?" says Horton.
Dark Horse Presents #9 is out February 22nd, 2012!
